How to mamorize poem fast
Step Two: Now read only the first line of the poem outloud. Take your eyes from the page and immediately, outloud, say the line again. Glance quickly to make sure you got it right. If you made a mistake, do it over. Now move on to the second line and repeat the procedure- one outloud reading followed by one outloud recitation of the line from memory. Do this for every line in the poem (in order, I guess it goes without saying).
Step Three: Once you have completed going through the poem, go back to the beginning. This time read outloud the first two lines, look away and repeat them outloud. Check briefly that you got it right. If you make a mistake do it over. Now move on to the next two lines and so forth going through the poem two lines at a time.
Steps Four thru Seven: Repeat the process three lines at a time, then 4 lines at a time, then 5 and then 6. I have found that by the 6th pass, no matter how long or short the poem, you will have the whole thing committed to memory. At some point in this process you will find that you are able to recite the whole poem without hardly a glance at the poem. I recommend doing all six passes even if you already seem to have the poem down before then.
Step Eight: Recite the whole poem, preferably just before you go to bed at night.
Step Nine (IMPORTANT): Stop thinking about the poem and just sleep on it. Your sleeping mind is very important for memory- it sort of saves to your brains harddrive what has been floating around in its RAM while it worked through the poem.
The next day you should find (perhaps with a little glance at the first line of the poem to kidkstart your memory) that you can recite the whole poem. Now recite the poem once more, to yourself with meaning! Depending on when you want to perform the poem you may want to recite it once a day or every couple of days before your performance. You have mechanically memorized the text, now is your opportunity to explore the poem and all its hidden meanings and connections without needing the text in front of you.

How Anyone Can Get Scholarship Money For College
by Steadman Issenburg
Getting college scholarship money is not all that difficult if you go about it the right way.
There are lots of college students that get scholarship money every year that helps pay for their education, and scholarships are one of the best sources of college funding because they never have to be repaid. Essentially, you are receiving money for free to go to college. So why not try to get as much college scholarship money as you can before resorting to college loans instead?
However, applying for college scholarships requires discipline and organization in order to be successful. In this article we will review some of the common characteristics of those who are most successful in applying for college scholarships.
|
1. First of all, students who are most successful in getting scholarship money are willing to put in the extra time and work necessary in order to get the money that they need. They don't rely on their parents to do all the work for them, and they don't wait till the last minute to try to throw everything together and get it in the mail.
2. It's also important that you don't restrict your search for scholarships to just one or two sources, as no one database has all of the available scholarships listed in it. Quite often, students will simply use a database found on the Internet such as FastWeb, which is a good place to start. But remember that most likely lots of other students will be accessing the same online databases, making it more difficult to get the listed scholarships. So why not expand your search locally, and find out what scholarships are available in your area that can be much easier to qualify for and receive?
3. Some students fail in their quest for getting scholarship money because they simply don't try for enough scholarships when they apply. You need to think of this as a numbers game, and the more scholarships that you apply for, the better your chances of getting the money that you need. So don't just apply for one or two scholarships and see what happens. Instead, try to apply for as many as you can comfortably handle at one time.
4. If you apply to several scholarship programs at once, you will need to be well organized to keep it all straight. So make sure that you have a way to track all of the scholarship deadlines and requirements so that you give yourself the best chance possible to receive scholarships by getting your information packets in on time and fulfilling all the required steps outlined in the application.
5. Another very important part of creating a winning scholarship packet is to try to personalize your essay as much as you possibly can. Instead of just reciting dry facts as you would for a term paper, be sure to try to let the scholarship reviewers know as much about who you are as you can in the scholarship essay. Remember this is the only way that they will get to know you, and quite often your personal story can have a large impact on whether or not you are awarded a scholarship.
6. Finally, be sure to avoid all scholarship scams that promise to do all the work for you, or ask for some sort of payment in advance of receiving the scholarship. These scams are just ways to cheat students out of their hard earned money.
Every dollar that you receive from college scholarship money will be a dollar that you do not have to repay as a loan with interest later on in your life. That makes college scholarships one of the best forms of college education funding that you can possibly get. If you follow the tips listed above, very likely you will be able to get enough scholarship money to at least pay for a significant part of your college education.

How to be an all around good student?
Listening and participating makes a great student. If your purpose in school is to excel and get great grades, the following tips might just make it easier for you to achieve your goal.
-
1In order to be a good student, one of the key areas you'll have to work on is being organized. Without organization, you'll have trouble finding your school supplies and notes!
-
2Buy a binder to store your notes, homework, and tests/quizzes in it. To distinguish the difference between each class, purchase tabs or make some of your own. Another option is to purchase folders to either replace the binder or assist it.
-
3Buy a pencil case and put all your writing utensils in there. Be sure you always have an extra pencil in there in case something happens to the pencil you're using. If you prefer mechanical pencils, make sure you have extra lead in the pencil case as well.
- In case you have no access to a pencil sharpener in the classroom, bring your own small one. The kind that catches the shavings is recommended, and make sure it doesn't make too much noise!
- To be prepared for math, it is recommended you slip a small calculator in the pencil case as well. If your pencil case is big enough, put a ruler in as well.
-
4Buy a planner or an agenda to make note of the due dates of assignments, tests, and big projects. That way, when you arrive at home in the evening, you will be able to organize your homework schedule and figure out which assignment is due first, and when you should work on it. Good prioritizing is necessary in this area.
-
5Make sure your locker is clean and organized. Keep it free of random papers - keep all papers in your binder or folder(s) - and do not clutter it with unnecessary decorations, as they are pointless and you'll have to take them down at the end of the year.
- It is recommended you stack your books in your locker in the order of your classes. That way, you can easily grab your book from the top stack, and later slip it underneath the pile for tomorrow!
